Bat Update

So, today I was home because Al and I decided that he would take a couple hours off of work and we'd take another trip down the river since we had the kayaks until 6:00 p.m. tonight. Casey and I were swinging and hanging up laundry deciding to come in to have something to eat. While we were eating bacon,

ANOTHER BAT FLEW AT ME
IN MY VERY OWN KITCHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I again begged my neighbor to come to my rescue. He did, but got bit in the process and we decided to mark this bat to see if it came back again. UGH. He then looked around our house and maybe found an entry spot, so Al WILL be fixing that when he gets home tonight!!!

I hope you know it is morbid fascination at this point that makes me keep taking pictures. That and the fact that I can blog about it! *smile* Anyway, my neighbor had this great idea to "mark" the bat, just in case it came back in our house yet again!!! So here we are putting paint on its wing!! Yeah, he, he, we are Iowa State University Scientists marking bats now and observing their natural habitats. Ha. Ha.
