Sometimes I wonder if every mother feels this way or if it is just me...
This is Casey, my very active, never stopping almost 2 year old. He has a fever...
Casey has been sick, so I understand him waking up at night, but it is still hard to wake up 2 hours after you go to bed and then be awake for an hour or so. Then I finally convince him we could lay down (YES I let him sleep with me! At this point in my night I don't really care. I know this too will pass so...). Then, Carter wakes up and is afraid of everything and nothing. So I am sleeping in a double bed next to a feverish baby(and don't forget, my husband is still in bed, too) and flopping my hand over said bed to hold Carter's hand, who by the way, wakes up the instant I move my hand all the rest of the night...
But I still get to wake up to this view of two beautiful boys
who are all mine!
I know Al would say the lack of sleep gets to me, but there will be plenty of years to sleep and then I will be wondering what to do with all my extra time....
