Love

The first time I heard this song was in a John Deere tractor . Al and I were dating and I was smitten. I would ride around with him while he worked just to be near him. Now keep in mind that Al and I met in a Country and Western bar, but he has always been a rocker at heart. And me, I'm a country girl that likes rock and roll, I just don't like the kind where they "scream" their lyrics at you. So, I tried to just tune out some of what he listened to and he turned it down a bit for me.
Anyway, back to my story...We were riding around on a Saturday afternoon . I think it was spring, so we must have been cultivating the field, and it was early in our relationship. So Al turns the radio up and says " I really like this Van Halen song. The words are really how I feel." Words? I thought Van Halen was one of those groups. i.e. one of those groups that just "yelled" their songs at you. Well, except for Jump of course. I was a radio girl if nothing else. So I sat up and listened. As much as you can sit up in a tractor when you are the rider and there is no buddy seat, anyway. And

Wow.

Wow.

Al was being deep and this song was really cool. It was a moment for me into my future husband's heart and head.

The song became "our" song and we danced to it at our wedding. And the rest is history....
