Trying to teach manners is an ongoing task. I remind all of my children to say please and thank you when someone does something nice for them. I use the phrase magic words to remind Casey to say please and thank you. And every time I get something for him, like a drinkable yogurt or cookie, I say, "Thank you, Mommy," trying to remind him of those magic words. Lately, I've noticed when I hand him something he's been asking for, he will say "'Welcome," as he is walking away. I think it's sooo cute!!! We may not have the please and thank yous down, but we at least realize we say something back when someone does something for us!! Because it is just a little backwards, it is extra cute and memorable.
'Welcome Casey!
