My Life Motto...

Any of you that know me very well, know that cleaning is not a priority of mine. I'd much rather play with my kids, read a book, or take pictures!! Unfortunately, this sometimes leads to problems in finding things...Sadly, I was looking for one such thing, but ran across this e-mail I received several years ago instead. It was my motto then as it is now. Not much has changed. So even though, I have misplaced something, I have found this fun little thought sent from a friend. And I have no doubt my misplaced item will soon right itself.

Dust if you must. But wouldn't it be better to paint a picture, or write a letter, bake a cake, or plant a seed. Ponder the difference between want and need. Dust if you must. But there isn't much time, with rivers to swim and mountains to climb! Music to hear, and books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead. Dust if you must. But the world's out there with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair, a flutter of snow, a shower of rain. This day will not come round again. Dust if you must. But bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind. And when you go, and go you must, you, yourself, will make more dust.

Remember, a house becomes a home when you can write "I love you" on the furniture!

Love it! I've been looking for more excuses to not dust and I could indeed write in my dust! Thanks for the encouragment.

Love this post - and love the motto. Very much similar! I had read this years ago and it instantly clicked! Thanks for the reminder.
