Anyway, Al and I drove to Des Moines yesterday to go to the reception in the photography salon at the State Fair and I got two of my four photos displayed!!!!! Woo Hoo!!! Not only that, but I received Third Place in one of the largest categories, Iowa County Courthouses!! Out of 5,000 entries I got 2 pictures in!!! And out of 1,500 photographers submitting!! Out of 91 awards given, I got one!!! I am soooo excited!!! My goal was to get in to the State Fair as they are quite competitive. I never dreamed I'd win an award!! Wow!! So I just had to tell you!!!

That is so neat Stacey! I've been having so much fun with photography lately. I wish I had time for a class or something - but for now I just don't. So, I have been scouring over my camera owners manual, taking in any info I can on photography on line, etc. :) We do what we can.
I tackled aperture last week and this week started looking into AWB. Kind of got lost in that, but I'll keep wading through it all. The end result of figuring out more about what I can do is so neat!
Also, I have had photo shop elements for several months, but never did much with it because I hadn't taken the time to figure it all out. Now I am figuring that out too and wow is it fun! Do you do much editing or focus more on just the camera/picture?
